Woodward Communications, Inc. developed a corporate Mission Statement in 1981, revised it in 1993 to reflect the ESOP, and revised it again in 2004 via a Mission/Vision Task Force.
The new WCI Mission Statement captures the essence of our majority employee ownership structure, our unique and special "corporate culture," and presents a vision for our company's long range-purpose and strategic direction.
As an ESOP company that believes strongly in Participatory Management, Executive Leadership felt it was very important to develop a mission that reflects the vision it shares with all its employee-owners. To that end, the company sought and received a great deal of input from employee owners as the Mission/Vision Task Force composed the following statement:
