Larson Promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Holstrom Named Chief Accounting Officer (CAO)

Tom Yunt, WCI President and CEO, announced the promotion of Steve Larson to the WCI Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer position during the September 22^nd Corporate Operating Group meeting held at Two Rivers Marketing (Des Moines, Iowa).  In making the announcement, Yunt made the following comments: “I am extremely pleased that the CFO Search Committee, comprised of seven employee owners, unanimously recommended Steve to be named our next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Steve has earned and deserves this promotion. His hard work, dedication and loyalty to WCI, and his many skills sets will serve him well in his new role. I am very proud of Steve and am thrilled that WCI is in a position to ‘promote from within,’ and recognize a long-term and valued employee owner.”   Larson will report to Yunt, WCI’s President and CEO.

 Steve joined WCI in September 1984 as the Internal Auditor. He was named Accounting Supervisor in 1988, Assistant Controller in 1992, and Controller/Assistant Treasurer of WCI in 1997.  Steve is a licensed CPA, holds an accounting degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Dubuque.

Yunt also announced the promotion of Jon Holstrom to the newly created WCI Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) position and Assistant Treasurer.  The CAO position will report to Larson and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department and will join the Corporate Operating Group (COG).  The position will be based at WCI’s corporate offices in Dubuque, Iowa.  In making the announcement of Jon's promotion, Yunt made the following comments: "Jon Holstrom brings a refreshing ‘outsider-looking-in’ perspective to his new role and position. Jon has a great deal of potential and capacity that will allow him to excel as WCI's Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). Since WCI acquired Two Rivers Marketing, Jon has continually taken on more and more corporate accounting assignments and responsibilities, and his transition and associated promotion are well earned and deserved." 

Jon joined WCI in October 2008 when WCI acquired Two Rivers Marketing. His most recent appointment was to Assistant Controller – Value Risk Manager for WCI in December 2010.  Previously, Jon was the controller of Two Rivers Marketing, an Account manager at R&R Realty Group, Des Moines, Iowa, and a Senior Associate at KPMG, LLP in Des Moines, Iowa.  Jon is also a licensed CPA, holds an accounting degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and is in the final courses for his MBA program at the University of Iowa.

Both promotions will be effective October 1, 2011.  Grady Ivy will be retiring on December 31, 2011 and will assist and work closely with Steve and Jon in the transition.
