Employee Owner Communications Committee (EOCC)
The EOCC was formed in 2002 to help educate employee owners and foster an employee ownership culture at WCI. The committee members also address the concerns and issues of WCI employee owners by serving as their liaison with issues related to employee ownership. The committee consists of 10 employee owners who represent the divisions of the company.
EOCC goals are to educate employee owners in order to increase awareness and understanding of the ESOP culture at WCI, increase employee owner involvement on an individual level by helping them become more productive, responsible owners, and to help all employee owners recognize the value of WCI as a place to work and own.
Members have attended educational seminars and national conferences representing the company. In 2004, thanks to efforts of EOCC, WCI was the winner of The ESOP Association's Annual Award for Communications Excellence (AACE) in the category of Total Communications, 501-1,000 Employees. Other AACE honors include Runner-Up recognition in the category of Total Communications, 501-1,000 Employees in 2007 and 2008. Also in 2008, WCI received AACE Runner-Up recognition in the best website category.
